WEI HUANG holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is the managing partner of Crossing Over, an executive development firm. The services of the firm focus on helping executive management teams and individuals with their organizational issues, transcending various cultural and other barriers.
Born and raised in China, Wei spent her undergraduate years at the East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai. She then came to the United States and obtained her doctoral degree at the City University of New York. During the years that followed, Wei contributed in Research & Development functions at pharmaceutical companies and assumed responsibilities for process development and implementation, and new product development. She managed R&D projects and coordinated cross-functional teams.
Since 2002, Wei has consulted for organizations in their strategic planning and board development processes. She conducts management training, and organizational effectiveness initiatives for multicultural joint venture projects: integrated leadership team building. Wei also participates in organization assessment and various training projects, such as diversity training etc. Her clients include ExxonMobil, Aramco overseas, China National Petroleum Company, Novartis, etc.
Besides working with teams, since 2001, Wei has also been providing guidance and empowerment for individuals seeking career and personal growth through development both at work as well as in daily life.
Having personally crossed over from diversified angles, in both technical and human science arenas and from the east to the west, Wei is passionate about helping organizations and individuals that are doing the same to achieve maximum effectiveness.
