QUALITY INITIATIVE

We measure the quality of our services in several different ways. Obviously, the clearest measure of our work is timely placement of well-qualified candidates with our clients. Another quality measurement is the amount of repeat business we have in-house. How many of our assignments are from companies with whom we have previously worked? Since we began measuring 20 years ago, we have averaged more than 80% repeat business.

Third, because we work as partners with our clients in the successful identification and fulfillment of their staffing needs, we measure our quality in terms of service to the client. Utilizing well-documented files for every search, we analyze our performance in each assignment in the following manner:

Position analysis. How quickly did we and the client arrive at a common understanding? Did issues arise during the search which should have been identified during this phase?

Research/presentation. Did we present appropriate candidates within the established timeframe? Was the presentation according to the client's specifications? Did the client interview the candidates? Was there any delay or confusion in candidate-client interviews that our better efforts could have avoided?

Negotiation. Did the client offer employment to any candidates presented? If so, were the offers accepted? Was the negotiation process facilitated as well as possible? If the client did not offer, was it due to perceived lack of fit to the Company's needs? How quickly were more appropriate candidates identified? Was an offer refused? If so, could this candidate have been more effectively screened before presentation? On the other hand, could we have more effectively facilitated negotiations so that the offer was accepted?

Completion. Was the opening filled within the established timeframe? If not, why not?

We remain in contact with the client and the candidate after placement, ensuring that the client is satisfied with our services and with the candidate.

Abbott Smith Associates maintains a strict "hands-off" policy which prohibits us from accepting as candidates any current employees of a company (or its subsidiaries) in which we have placed a candidate. We maintain this policy for a period of one year from the most recent hire.
